1) I do find QR codes as an effective form of marketing because they can be put anywhere and immediately people can get to the link with just a click of a button. However, it can also be not effective because not everybody has a phone or device capable of scanning these codes.
2) Hashtags are a feature that you can use to tag your tweet and put it in a certain category. For example, if i tweeted something about the beach, i could use #beach #summer (etc.)
3) A blog is a place where someone can share news, ideas, or pretty much anything. People can follow blogs of activities they like, and follow along on news and other items.
4) A person can tweet 140 characters. I think this is sufficient because thats what makes it different from facebook. I think sales people can tweet enough about a product in 140 characters to catch people's attention and get them interested in that product.Twitter was made for short statuses and tweets and facebook most people use to post their long stories and other things.
5) The word "blog" originated from the word "web". Well technically two words " web log"
6) A website used to shorten URLs is: https://bitly.com/.
This is useful because especially if someone is posting a picture, the URLs can get very long, and this just shortens them to get rid of all of the useless characters.
7) Blogs are made up of: posts, permalinks, comments, themes, archive and category pages, blogrolls, and social media connection.
8) The "QR" in QR codes stands for quick response.
9) A blog would include a Blog List to promote other similar blogs so that their followers could follow the other similar blogs.
10) The benefit of "following" someone on twitter is that you can follow people you admire (celebrities, singers, bands) and also your friends so you can see what they are doing and also direct tweets towards them by tagging their name.
